Issue Overveiw
This Issue establishes Shadna fantasy arts as a "Saftey Net" For comics
droped by other companys. Most Publishers refuse to print "Cult"
titles, SFA prints nothing but "Cult" titles. :) This issue was intended
to be colourd like the First, but SFA rarely does colour issues.
The Inking in this issue is beautiful, though some of the art looks a tad
dull since there isn't any shadeing, but beside this, I still beleive this
issue has some of the best art in the series.
Cover
This cover is actualy done by Malcome Earl in Shawtae's style, I was
fooled for a long time by this. If oyu look closely at the inside
border of the cover you can see "Max Black Rabbit" written, with is Malcome
Earl's personal Fur.
Page Three Banner
An exelent full-Page shot of Kat show's Tamar's incredible atention
to detail, just looks at all the detail just in Kat's shirt! She
has prominent pads on her hands, as well as (Painted?) claws on teh end
of her fingers. Neither Trivia or a goof, but still worth pointing
out.
Page Four Frame One
We see Red sniffing the Air to search for Survivors, showing Tamar
did his research into Foxes. Foxes have an incredible sence of smell
and hearing, especialy males.
Page Five Frame Four
The injured Kit in this frame would be the actual reaon for The mature
Readers rateing on the cover acordig to Tamar. While there is some
tasteful nidity in the series it is realistic scenes of Gore that makes
this comic inapropriate for young kits.
This frame also shows that Sly must have some kind of medical training.
Page Six frame Two
Super Kat? Are we to beleive Alden also has comic books?
Page Six frame Four
The Toombsone above Kat's Family's grave is later revealed to be the
Sybmol of the Pheonix.
Page Seven Frame One
Many readers have asked me why Kat and Max don't have "Cat Slit" eyes,
this is why. When she does have them, she looks like a Frikkin' Phycho!
She's still cute when she's angry. ;)
Page Eight Frame Five
This is a Good shot of Sly's coat, witch I think is one of the coolest
article of clothing in the entire series, to bad this issue is all we see
of it. That open-lapel style looks to be popular on Alden, as you'll
see Red, and a few other wearing Jacket with this style lapel.. I
wish these were real, I'd wear something like that.
Page Nine Frame Two
Speaking of fation, B'jer here is not known for his fation taste.
I guess he wear vertical stripes to look tall.
Page Nine Frame Three
Whew, for how "Womanly" Phenix is, Tamar does a good job of makeing
her look at least unisex.
Page Ten Frames Three and Six
Frame three shows Scarlet eating a rather large sandwitch, while frame
six shows Red drinking "Low-C" a diet drink? Am I to assume Red is
watching his weight while Scarlet isn't? Looks to me like they switched
luchboxes.
Page Seventeen Frame Three
A screw is shown here poping into the Duct, this is impossible since
screws are screwed into the Duct from the outside. Of course this
does add great drama to the scene so I'm not complaining.
Page Eighteen
I thought page nine was bad, that silutte's gotta be an inker's nightmare.
Page Eighteen Frame One
Cats always land on their feet. He he!
Page Twenty Frame Four
We can see the slight Siluette of Micro here in the grill. Micro
later mentions he say "I've been following you since you freed the Pheonix"
Page Twenty Eight Frames One and Two
The Skull Gaurd cuts Pandora on the Right side, in the next frame she's
holding her bleeding left side.
